This week in wedding favors
Looking for a unique favor idea for your bridal shower or favor?
Books: consider the gift of knowledge. Give your friends a book about Nigeria, My Beautiful Nigeria. See details at http://www.mybeautifulnigeria.com/. You can offer copies to all your guest or just to friends at your bridal shower, or to the children who attend the wedding. Give this to the kids as a keep sake to take home with them. The children seem to be forgotten at most weddings (ie they usually don't receive any gifts) and it's their patience and endurance that make it possible for their parents to really enjoy the day with you anyway. Discounts available up to $6.50/per copy if ordering more than 10copies. E-mail ekeamba@hotmail.com
Pashminas: pashminas make a great gift for your bridal shower and wedding. You can also just give some to members of your bridal party. E-mail alima.okon@hotmail.com for help with bulk orders (Quantities over 50)
Waist beads: these are quite popular in many African countries and they sell them in the States as well. You can offer these to women who attend your wedding
The long house kaftans for men and women: these are very popular in Nigeria now and run about N3000 per piece. People love them and I've found they always make a great gift for any occasion
Slippers/Flip flops: provide for your guests to change into during Dance Dance Dance so they can focus on fun instead trying to look cute in those heels and of course take home with them after having fun with you
As a personal rule of thumb, if you won't be distributing a particular favor to all attendants at a wedding, it really is better to just distribute them privately to only those that will receive. It's
really not nice to pick and choose people in a hall to receive a favor. It makes others feel left out.
What other unique ideas do you have? Please share so others can use as well.
Have a great week everyone!

Happy Mother's Day Everyone
Take a moment to love and kiss your mom and/or the moms in your life. And you can celebrate with one of your beautiful laces :). Check out our Fabric Page. Congratulations to my dear friend Titi as she celebrates her wedding this week. May the Blessings of God fill your home.
Meanwhile, I'm wearing a different style than I intended for the wedding this weekend because my tailor decided to sew someone else's style for me...she couldn't find the style I gave her. Then she says do you like it. Really? does it matter if I do. The wedding is next week so I'm wearing it
God Bless!!!
